About The Artwork

The entire work is made on leather, a material of bovine origin called "gamuzón", and is composed of two parts: the central painting painted entirely with oil and the ornament that frames it, which was manually textured by the artist and painted with golden acrylics and patinas. In the back and upper part, a lacquered wood support is strongly adhered so that the work can be hung directly in the right place. As she rests her head on the old golden medallion to rest, astonishingly, the thoughts of the beautiful young woman begin to flow and sculpt interesting and beautiful shapes on the golden surface, while the inner light of the soul of the beautiful woman transforms the material of the medallion in gold, until obtaining an exquisite and unique work of art.

I was born in Quito , Ecuador on August 20, 1962. From a very early age, my parents' activity in painting and sculpture stimulated my interest in art. Due to my mother's taste for shoe design, leather became a very familiar and interesting material in my creative ideas.
