Golden Dance Of Balloons Painting

I was born and raised on the island Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. In 1981 I moved to Germany where I first settled in Kiel in Northern Germany, before I changed places in 1989 and moved to Hamburg where I still live. I always liked to paint, but more often did it when my daughter was still in school and we would paint together. Long time after my daughter already moved out, I finally felt like painting again in 2015. From autodidactic beginnings with initially rather representational images I developed my art increasingly towards abstract paintings with occasionally appearing elements of “abstract expressionism” or sometimes also geometrical forms serving as a kind of attractor to the eyes and imaginations of beholders and contemplators. When I paint a picture, I hardly ever know in advance how a painting is going to look like in the end. When I paint, I sometimes feel like a lonely person in the middle of nowhere trying to find a path to get somewhere. Then something just drags me in and leads or pulls me forward as I go along painting until I know that I have arrived and the painting is finished. This process can take days, but also very few hours.
