The “noise” in this painting isn’t just visual—it’s emotional. It’s all the distractions, doubts, and distortions that crowd the mind when you’re trying to evo...

Leroy Rolle

About the Artist

Leroy Rolle

United States

My name is Leroy. I’m an artist and architecture student exploring how emotion, structure, and storytelling can come together through visual art. I started painting as a way to process my thoughts—especially during times when words didn’t feel enough.

Much of my work is abstract and expressive, blending bold textures, symbols, and contrast. I’m drawn to moments of transition—where chaos meets clarity—and I try to reflect that through layered brushwork and intentional imperfections. I use acrylic because of how immediate it feels. Every mark I make is part of something unfolding, not just for me, but hopefully for whoever sees it.

I don’t paint to provide answers. I paint to hold space for questions, reflection, and emotion. If someone connects with one of my pieces, even for a moment, that means more to me than anything else.

Right now, I’m studying architecture at the University of Oklahoma, and I’m learning how both art and design can create space—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually, too.
