About The Artwork
The image of The Golden Temple is imprinted in my mind from my last visit .Here I have tried to capture its stunning golden beauty on a cold hazy/ foggy wintery early morning with the passage leading to it across the pool, in the fore front. I hope this work will revive memories for those people who have visited this magnificient shrine & will inspire people who have not ,to pay a visit to it.It is done in soft pastels because I felt I could best bring out the hazy , cloudy effect of the sky as well as the detailing of the shrine & the shimmering effect of the golden cladding with this medium.

I am an architect/ artist. residing in bahrain since the last 15 years.I use a lot of sketch pens & pencil / watercolours for my architectural renderings . This reflects in some of my art works also. Being an architect, heritage has always been of interest to me & more often than not it figures in my artworks also . However I also love painting landscapes also. I am a fan of the way the impressionists used colours. I am currently working on series called 'URBAN LANDSCAPES ", inspired by citi life & features a lot of roads & cars. Who says roads & cars can't be beautiful ?
