Gossip.......Oil on Canvas Painting

I had started a series of bird paintings in my 'Flare' style which I call my 'Aviary'. It is a series which pertains to human society and traits of particular characters and mannerisms. As I am fond of satire, I also try to portray them in such a way. My inspiration for ‘Gossip’ came about from sketching and doodling chickens in this style I developed for my bird series based on these characters. However, this composition was derived from real people gossiping under my balcony on the corner. Gosh, what an annoyance! But not only that, it is usually a ‘loud whisper’ too, where you would have to listen whether you like it or not to some accentuated ‘Ooos!’ and ‘Aahs!’, if you know what I mean. Unless that is, you can escape from the place, depending on if you are not half asleep in bed and ready to get up, sometimes, even very early in the morning. One can learn a lot from the wisdom and advice that comes out of their mouths and you start to wonder who knows best.. This is what came to mind at an instance one day. The disturbance seemed like cackling chickens talking to and also over each other. Maybe the intelligence wasn’t far between either. Mmmmmmmmmm.......
