ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Generally, I use many colors, some quite bright, in my Abstract Expressionist work. I wanted to create a work that would stand out, be particularly unique and fascinating. Each time the viewer sees this painting, new images appear, almost magically. I use brain wave synchronization CD's when I paint. It takes me into what I call 'the zone.' Energy comes rushing through and I begin. October is a perfect month for a painting such as this. There is an element of mystery in this piece.

As a young child I won a gold medal for a drawing of a dog. My father and I used to draw together. I graduated from Montclair State University and did take some art classes there, however, that was not my major. I am mostly self taught. I began painting seriously in 2000 and in 2009 I was in a 4 state competition with thousands of aritsts in a museum. I won First Place in Painting oil/acrylics. The juror was the previous director of the Guggenheim so this was quite an honor!
