About The Artwork
Inspired by my years of living in Bermuda perched high on a hilltop above the water. In this series, I hope to convey a sense of a visit to a calm island with turquoise seas and pink sand. I am interested in the translucency and clarity of the water, along with the movement of the waves as they reach out to touch the soft pink shore. I have sculpted purified Bermuda pink sand into the shoreline and am intrigued by how it plays against the layers of slick epoxy resin used to create the ocean water. The painting continues around the edges of this gallery quality sturdy wood raised panel. It has been professionally wired and arrives ready to hang on your wall. No need for framing, unless desired.
