Art Description

Painting: Wax, Ink, Gesso, Oil on Wood.

"Remembrances" is a new series that I am working on. I am using vintage photos I found in albums left after my parents died. Some of the people I know and others are mysteries to me. I like to image what their stories and lives were like. My grandma's photo was in the attic when I was growing up and although I never met her, I felt I could talk to her and she would understand me. That big photo is long gone, but the memory influenced me to make this painting. It is both mysterious and beautiful to me with the signs of age and obscurity.

This painting is on cradled board and needs no framing.
