Having a smoke outside of a friend's apartment. The sun was going down behind me and the colors were exceptionally vivid. It occurred to me that sitting on the fire escape was maybe one of my favorite activities in the city, having a moment where no one could interact with you as you sit perched above the street, watching people pass below.
