ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Size: 60"x60" or 152x152 cm My artwork Grotto is a masterpiece that based on my memories and impressions from the past. Creating this artwork I thought about precious of our memory that saves so much information for us and gives possibility to our Imagination to paint whatever you want. I expressed it in an abstract form using lots of golden brush strokes on the surface of canvas. You shouldn’t take the title Grotto literally true. Its not a spot on the map or real cave. In this case Grotto symbolizes the depth of our memory and the unconscious. Working on this picture I used beige, ocher and golden shades. Such calm combination was able to convey my internal state. That’s why when you look at this picture you calm down. It helps in meditation as well.
