Born in Lithuania, Violeta Vollmer-Dundulyte graduated in fine arts at the Estonian Academy of Arts and was set free by the end of Soviet dictatorship. In 1994 she moved to Germany and later lived and worked as a freelance artist in Buenos Aires, Argentina for eight years, and Windhoek, Namibia for three years before relocating to Germany in 2011. Driven by the effects of globalization, living and working in numerous countries, and being a migrant herself, she uses a variety of materials and techniques (photography, painting, video art, sculpture, etc.) to express herself on her continued journey. 1994-1996 LIVED AND WORKED AS A FREE ARTIST IN HAMBURG, GERMANY 1997-2004 LIVED AND WORKED AS A FREE ARTIST IN BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA 2005-2007 LIVED AND WORKED AS A FREE ARTIST IN HAMBURG, GERMANY 2007-2010 LIVED AND WORKED AS A FREE ARTIST IN WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA 2011-2014 LIVED AND WORKED AS A FREE ARTIST IN HAMBURG, GERMANY Since 2014 LIVES AND WORKS AS A FREE ARTIST IN BERLIN / KOENIGS WUSTERHAUSEN
