J&L CONSTRUCTORES es un dúo artístico colaborativo conformado desde el año 2012 por los Maestros en Artes Plásticas y Visuales Jimmy Espinosa (Bogotá, 1984) y Lina Prieto (Bogotá, 1985). Se graduaron en la Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá A.S.A.B., Universidad Francisco José de Caldas, Bogotá, Colombia, en los años 2008 y 2012, respectivamente.
Nuestras obras reflexionan sobre cómo la ciudad se transforma a través de renovaciones urbanas, dinámicas sociales y el paso del tiempo. Las formas de habitar y los contrastes entre entornos influyen en la memoria colectiva y la identidad. Representamos los cambios socioculturales, apropiamos la memoria visual de los territorios en evolución, abordando la estética popular y las experiencias cotidianas en Latinoamérica.
Nuestros proyectos cuestionan las fronteras entre lo individual y lo colectivo, el arte y la vida cotidiana, y entre la realidad y su representación.
