Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Oil, Household, Found Objects on Canvas.

The painting is on a deep wooden stretcher. Paint is very thickly applied in some areas, thinly in others. The face of the winged figure on the right is made from the remains of a marshmallow and a thread (see close-up detail). This painting was done over a long period of time, and I repeatedly came back to it. It depicts a mysterious landscape with a tree. A winged figure flees from darkness, another jumps into it. The forms emerged as if by themselves from poured paint, and also from oil paint that was applied and then had material pressed into it.
