This is one of my series of emotionally charged coastal abstract artworks. I used saturated vibrant colors and powerful brush strokes, as I do in all my paintings, in order to create a lasting visual impression.

Size: 36 x 48 x 1" framed in brushed silver metal. Acrylic & Ink on canvas.

Art buyers (and art lovers) will see influences to prominent 19th Century Artists such as Pissarro and Klimt. Additionally, I am inspired by the motion of prominent 20th century abstract Tachisme artists such as Jean-Paul Riopelle, Wols, Jean Dubuffet, Pierre Soulages. I love the works of Dutch Modernist painters Leo Gestel, Jan Altink and Jan Toorop. On to more a contemporary artist influence, such as Chuck Close. I offer homage to their artistic vision through my own art.

Professional acrylic paints and canvas. Finished with a glaze of UV varnish to protect against sunlight and dust damage.

Each painting is inspected and professionally packaged for safe travel so that your painting arrives to you in perfect condition.

My work has been described as:
'Tumbling underneath waves amidst effervescent aquatones, Margaret's compositions are fresh and original expressions of the colors and patterns of water in motion.

The artist uses her imagination to distill the kinetic essence of something never at rest.Irregular shapes of green and blue cover the canvas, reminiscent of the brilliant marine hues that convey water in 19th century Japanese woodblock prints.

Close inspection reveals rough, textured surfaces from the thick application of media on linen, including oil, acrylic and oil pastel, reiterating the earthly and organic nature of her subject.'

Nature is my Muse with the element of Water as my guide. I view the world with the lens of a shimmering prism- glowing with potentiality. The goal is to create art that connects; work which inspires, soothes and heals. As a multifaceted artist; with a focus on painting, illustration, interior and textile design for more than two decades, l have cultivated an extensive list of devoted supporters. My work displays prominently in a wide variety of settings—from celebrity homes and corporate lobbies to commercial and hospitality sites internationally. I have exhibited internationally from San Diego to Boston and London to Beijing. In 2008-2011 I was selected as the American Artist Representative for an exhibition in Baghdad, Iraq. My career has skyrocketed from there. Notable exhibitions: Iraq Museum, Reykjavík Art Museum, Phi Foundation @ Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, New York Hall of Science, Museum of Arts and Sciences Daytona, Art Basel Miami, Las Vegas Art & Frame, Highpoint Market, Swiss Art Expo, Affordable Art Fair Manhattan, Foosner Art Museum, Biennale Arte’ de Venezia, Art Basel Switzerland, Atlanta- Dallas- Shanghai and Beijing Gifts and Home Furnishings Market, and many others at the Florida state level. My work has appeared British Vogue (3 issues in 2023), Voyage Magazine, Canvas Rebel Magazine, Construction Magazine, Danish Magazine X-Ray, Aesthetica Magazine, Florida Design, Boston Yacht Club Magazine, Daily Mail, The Guardian, Studio Visit Magazine, Influence Magazine, as well as many other publications, tv shows and commercials. In 2019 and 2020 I was offered the opportunity to participate in a Yoko Ono collaborative exhibition in Canada and Iceland. Gratefully, I am represented by reputable galleries, while prints and textiles are marketed and sold by vendors internationally. I currently live and work in the beautiful Tampa Bay area, Florida where inspiration is at every turn.
