About The Artwork

This artwork is a celebration of the rich and colorful tradition of Naples, drawing inspiration from the iconic figure of Pulcinella and the vibrant folklore that permeates the city. The lively and whimsical nature of Neapolitan culture served as a wellspring of creative influence, infusing this painting with a sense of joy and playfulness. The composition features Pulcinella in mid-air, caught in a moment of exuberant leap, and a child within square flat squares, signifying the connection between tradition and modernity. The 3D elements interwoven into the painting add depth and texture, creating an engaging and interactive visual experience. Viewers of this piece are invited to feel the contagious merriment that Pulcinella embodies, a symbol of Neapolitan identity and laughter. It's a celebration of the unique character of Naples, where history, culture, and the joy of life converge. This painting encourages contemplation of the enduring charm of folklore and tradition and how they continue to inspire modern art. The choice of a colorful and dynamic style, along with the warm beige background, is a deliberate nod to the vibrant streets and facades of Naples. The medium, designed to engage the audience with 3D elements, adds an interactive dimension to the artwork, inviting viewers to explore the layers of tradition and playfulness. This fusion of traditional and contemporary elements, expressed through lively colors and symbolic figures, serves to evoke a sense of nostalgia while celebrating the enduring spirit of Naples.

Annibale Pace, also known as Carmine, was born in Grottaglie in 1963 and later moved to Taranto for work-related reasons. His passion for art, nurtured since his youth "in his heart," fully blossomed when he discovered the art courses offered by Maestra Antonella Micocci. Here, he learned the fundamentals of artistic interpretation and its diverse applications. After a period of apprenticeship, his thirst for knowledge led him to the workshop of Maestro Paolo Tagliaferro, where he cultivated a passion for hyperrealistic painting. Not content with that, and even more intrigued, he found himself under the skilled guidance of Maestro E. G. Solferino, a meeting that encouraged him to approach the Artistic Center "La Casaccia," where the maestro conducted courses in artistic disciplines. With the cultural baggage he acquired and the experiences gained over the years in the regional and national art scene, he aimed to participate in high-profile international exhibitions, garnering significant acclaim.
