"Healing song" Painting

Hachem Amzil is a visual artist, contemporary calligrapher, and exhibition curator from Casablanca. He grew up in an artistic environment, influenced by his father, the renowned artist Mohamed Amzil, where calligraphy and drawing formed a space for aesthetic discovery and artistic expression from an early age. After obtaining his baccalaureate in applied arts, he pursued further training in art, design, and event management through international certifications from prestigious institutions, enabling him to develop a vision that blends tradition and modernity.

His creative experience is based on liberating Arabic script from its linguistic function to reveal its formative and rhythmic power. He combines abstraction, color, and movement in works that open a space for visual contemplation and tranquility for the viewer, as seen in his painting "A Call for Serenity in the Labyrinth of Voices," which was acquired by the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs. Since 2018, he has been actively involved in organizing major exhibitions in Morocco, including those in Rabat and Marrakech, as well as at the ISESCO headquarters. This includes his artistic supervision of the paintings depicting the Beautiful Names of God, which were published in a book and presented to His Majesty the King in 2019.

He also participated in a calligraphy exhibition in Laayoune commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Green March. His recent international participation includes an exhibition in Indonesia alongside artists from 50 countries. He was later selected among 12 artists to represent Morocco and Africa at The 16th International Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts - Shanghai, where two of his artworks were acquired by the Shanghai Art Collection Museum, reflecting the growing international recognition of his artistic journey.

In 2026, he presented his solo exhibition “Beyond the Letters” at Kaan Hotel Casablanca, further affirming his commitment to contemporary Arabic calligraphic abstraction and immersive visual expression.

His work has been praised by prominent critics and artists, who emphasize his unique ability to unite the spirit of calligraphic heritage with the dynamism of modern art. Today, Hachem Amzil continues his creative journey, seeking bridges of communication between cultures and generations. In his paintings, calligraphy transforms into light, rhythm, and visual poetry, inviting viewers to engage in contemplative, inner readings.
