Ulrich Götte Himmelblau passed away in February 2024. In deep sadness, his family and his artist friends. "I'm in my second life now, after having ended my first life in the first years of the new millenium :-) It was a matter of destiny then, and I today think my Nepal trip in 1997 somehow got it on. In my new life I'm carrying on a small publishing business for fine art book publications. Anyway, this portfolio includes a collection of my paintings that are still available. All my paintings had been indexed and numbered in a catalogue raisonne and my main gallery was Galerie Samtleben, Potsdam. I 'm a gratuate of the University of Art and Design Burg Giebichenstein, Halle, with a Master of Fine Arts degree. My paintings and graphic art works can be found in several even prestigious private and public collections, such as the Kupferstichkabinett of the National Museums in Berlin, the well known TUI collection in Hannover, the ORB art collection, the art collection of the Museum Brandenburg, as well as in San Diego (USA), Kolding (Denmark), Bruxelles (Belgium), Limoges (France), Majorca and Ibiza (Spain). My works had been showcased then in numerous solo and group exhibions, i.e. in 1993 in the Museum of the Royal Palace in Kolding, Denmark, in 1998 in a Special Show at the International Art Event 'Arte Ibiza', Spain, in 1999 at the international art event 'Arte Sevilla' , Spain, in 2000 in the 'World Fine Art Gallery', Broadway, New York City, USA, in 2001 in 'Galerie am Neuen Kranzlereck', Kurfuerstendamm, Berlin, Germany." Outside the job Ulrich enjoyed playing some guitar. www.youtube.com/user/ulihimmelblau
