About The Artwork
This painting came to life during my cancer therapy year. I felt horrible, but never believed that I could die. The pain and the fear were still very strong inside me. I used subdued colours, and orange hues, to portray decay. After I was satisfied with colours, I started to pour synthetic resin in a mesh pattern across the canvas, creating a deadly maze of sticky horror. When the light hits the cobwebs, I clearly remember the moment the doctor told me I had cancer. This is how I see hell. Not burning. Not painful. But helplessness. Sticky and horrible, like a nightmare.
