Tshepang Jiane is an aspiring self-taught artist from Bloemfontein, RSA. Having a great deal of exposure
in contemporary and surrealism art, his work explores both techniques and specializes in new media art
(Digital art, Photography, Augmented reality, painting and drawing.
In 2020 his breathtaking artwork titled Covid-planet was selected to exhibit at the Fortune magazine’s
virtual Brainstorm Health event, among 99 other artists worldwide and was featured on local
newspapers during the digital creative fest 2020. William Humphrey art galleries selected the same
artwork for the 2020 annual WHAG exhibition. Jiane was selected to take part Giving poetry wings 3
featuring artworks with Augmented reality and poetry. In the same year he began working on his series
titled Quantum Dimension and local art brand Question Art displayed all of his work at the November Art
culture 2020. He found himself venturing into big public art commissions in local buildings which
created an opportunity for him to partner with Infini3 to create the city’s very first interactive Selfie
Stage featuring 10 booths at Mimosa mall in Bloemfontein during the Selfie world event in 2021. Jiane is
a versatile artist, in the same year he created a coloring book with augmented reality which feature 20
pages of artworks that come to life for Infini3.
Jiane is a visionary who shares his ideas and notions through his work and has an eye for unusual
beauty. He has a great interest in knowledge as he invests his time studying old techniques while
exploring new possible ones. “I create to preserve my heritage, to teach society and change
perceptions, I simply want others to see the world from my perspective”.
