Here With You Painting

This work was inspired by my experience as a volunteer at Maggies - a centre to help people, their friends and family with cancer. Named after the lady that founded Maggie's - she created a centre that could make the experience of cancer more manageable for everyone. She believed that with encouragement to become actively involved in treatment, and with the right information and support, people could change the way they live with cancer. Maggie also wanted to bring people together in a calm and friendly space that would help them to find comfort in the experiences of others. The centres help people to take back control when cancer turns life upside down, with professional support for anything from treatment side effects to money worries. I wanted to create a sense of calm when I painted this art and hope people that view this feel a sense of that they can breathe and relax. I used pure white as the base and a hint of Maggie's orange in the middle. All my work is completed using professional quality art materials. Variations in paint surface will be present, including small air bubbles, paint lines and textured areas. This is due to the nature of the paint and long drying times. Unfortunately Saatchi art cannot yet display circular works correctly so please see my in situ photo for correct idea of how this would look in a room. It comes with a frame on the back.
