ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is a reflection on the current times. Inspired by the times we are living in, the turquoise thread is commanding a change, like in an inner dialogue. Brought to a metaphysical level, change is what we all aspire to and is already happening at an unconscious deeper level. This painting is original in acrylics and gesso on canvas. The challenge was to use bold colors and make them feel soft while creating the experience of tension that explodes from soft light and pervades the entire space. The canvas could/should be mounted and framed.

Alessia Sersanti was born and raised in Rome, Italy, in 1973 where she learned how to paint from her mother who was a local artist in Rome during the 70’s. She is a painter and a fashion designer. As a painter, she studied Renaissance painting techniques from a local artist in Florence, where she developed a love for the expressive potential of abstract art. As a designer, she designed a line of luxury women’s handbags for the Asian market entirely manufactured in Italy and launched her own brand in 2017. Alessia currently lives with her family and her Husky dog in Kirkland, WA working as a professional artist.
