Hollywood Still Life (Objects on a White Table) Painting

This is a chunky collage of some objects including a house plant and stemmed wooden bowl on a glossy white table. The style of the shapes is bold and naive but the colour palette is subtle and sophisticated including peachy pinks and pale minty greens. This piece was constructed by sticking the cut out shapes onto cardboard and then sticking each piece individually onto the canvas base which includes it's own white diagonal striped details that represent shafts of light from the sun. The colours reminded me of LA and there is hopefully a glamorous yet playful feeling to this piece inspired by my own home and objects that I own and love.
