I have been drawing since childhood, but it was when I first tried oil painting at the age of 16 that the artist within me truly awakened. From that moment on, I immersed myself in drawing and painting with great enthusiasm. Over the years, my passion for fine art and my desire to grow as an artist have only deepened.
I have been drawing since childhood, but it was when I first tried oil painting at the age of 16 that the artist within me truly awakened. From that moment on, I immersed myself in drawing and painting with great enthusiasm. Over the years, my passion for fine art and my desire to grow as an artist have only deepened.
I am not limited to any particular subject, but living in Finland, surrounded by nature, has been a constant source of inspiration. I often paint small moments from nature and everyday life, as well as animals and flowers. My style is precise and detailed, although in recent years I have been exploring a freer, more expressive approach. As a counterbalance to my detailed work, I also enjoy creating abstract paintings.
I work mainly with watercolors and acrylics, while also incorporating a variety of drawing media into my practice.
I regularly participate in group exhibitions in Finland, and in recent years several of my watercolor paintings have been selected for international juried exhibitions. I have held three solo exhibitions in Finland, beginning with my first exhibition in 2022 at the birthplace of a former President of Finland in Pielavesi.
Art is the elixir of life for me, and I cannot imagine life without it. I am constantly seeking to grow as an artist and find great joy in exploring new ideas, techniques, and ways of expression.
Alongside my artistic practice, I have worked as a graphic designer and created illustrations for companies. My largest illustration project to date has been a cat-themed children's book written by my father-in-law.
I was born and have lived all my life in the beautiful lakeside city of Kuopio, Finland.
