About The Artwork

This painting began by pouring paint onto the paper, saturating it with pools of color that were gradually elaborated into a mountainscape over which there are two crisp explosions or suns. . . . A mix of sci-fi inspired imagery and modernist space creates an ambiguous image that is either sublime or disastrous, or perhaps both.
