About the Artist

Iza Kono

United Kingdom

I was born in Poland, where my creative journey began with a curiosity about people, emotion, and visual expression. My studies in Advertising, Design, and Contemporary Art Practice gave me a strong foundation in artistic thinking, but my true education has always come from observing life, listening to intuition, and remaining open to what I feel.

I work primarily in abstract painting, although I also create figurative works. I do not approach the canvas with a fixed plan or a desire to control the outcome. Instead, I paint intuitively, allowing each piece to unfold naturally. Every painting becomes a conversation between emotion, memory, instinct, and imagination. What appears on the canvas is often something I discover at the same time as the viewer.

I consider empathy to be at the heart of my practice. I notice details, emotions, and energies that often go unseen, and my work reflects this sensitivity. Rather than illustrating a specific story, I hope my paintings create space for personal interpretation, allowing each viewer to find their own meaning and connection.

My love for animals is an equally important part of who I am. I believe compassion should extend beyond the canvas, which is why a portion of the profits from my artwork will be dedicated to supporting animal shelters and organisations that care for animals in need. For me, creating art and helping others are expressions of the same values: kindness, respect, and connection.

I am not driven by the pursuit of fame. My greatest reward is knowing that a painting has touched someone deeply enough that they choose to live with it. Every collector, every conversation, and every moment of connection is something I receive with gratitude.

My work is created with honesty, intuition, and love. If it resonates with you, then it has already fulfilled its purpose.
