ABOUT THE ARTWORK
2019 year is one of my new style paintings. Light leaks and film scratches series Most of the time, I walk around with a pad or camera. These only act as memory aids as we don't see the landscape like a camera does - all in focus for a split second. The photographs serve as a starting point for a painting which at some point can develop in its own direction. I'm not painting from a photo. I use film stains and scratches as object. so I create an abstract nostalgic image. Nusret Aktay incorporates elements of artists such as Turner, Robert Motherwell and others using their influences in his own works. Nusret Aktay,started his painting education in 1985 by taking private painting lessons from Prof Sabri Berkel. After two years of design, he worked on design formation Until 2010, the artist continued to give painting lessons in his busy art life and after 2010 he concentrated on his commercial life so he took break for painting art.He worked as a designer, illustrator and art director and creative director in advertising sector.He was return to painting art at 2016 In this process, the artist has increased his experience by working on many different ecoles of painting and has formed his personal style. In this process, he did abstract works, later landscape and lastly figurative works.Currently, figurative works with high textured made with Oil Tempera are very popular. A few examples (abstract, landscape and figurative) were presented to your liking and put on sale. Nusret Aktay continues his professional art life in his private atelier in Beylikdüzü, İstanbul.
