How Will I Know? Painting

This is one of two pieces in a brand-new series that I started and completed in December 2022. As I wind down the end of the year in my studio, I am also contemplating what lies ahead for the series, and furthermore in the collection that will inevitably evolve from this in the coming weeks and months. The past few years have been tumultuous. What was once up is now down. What was once "normal" or "par for the course" is neither. Everyday life is contrary to what our hearts desire and strived to attain. Where has the 'dream' gone? It seems to have dissipated into the abyss. While it feels like the dream has strayed from reach, I am stirred with a sense of renewal to reclaim my power. I am empowered by the use of my tools and my skills as an artist to forge ahead without inhabitation. This is my promise to myself and to my returning and future collectors. My hope for the collector is that they will find ways to be surrounded by things that will bring them comfort and joy. Bringing art into the home or office that evokes happiness can be grounding and harmonizing. Add to a budding or to your established collection. My work is generally created with acrylic paints, however, I'll be exploring a variety of materials and products to see what will become of my work in the new year. My work is always delivered securely and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is signed, titled, and dated on the back of the canvas. This painting is painted black on the sides and finished with a gloss varnish.
