The liberation generated by the act of letting go is the main inspiration beyond this painting. As the seasons go by, as winter comes and then leaves space to the rebirth of nature, learning to follow the cosmic wheel is a necessary action in order to be present in the constant here and now. The phrases I embroidered with needle and thread represent a series of stagnant thoughts that burden and weigh down the cosmic soul of the woman represented. Their three-dimensionality that goes beyond the canvas conveys the feeling of this static nature on which we might sometimes fixate on, that limits our power and ascent to higher feelings. Therefore the exhalation of these words is an act of self love and evolution to brighter thoughts. The style is intentionally surrealistic and maybe a bit unsettling at times, because this action might be uneasy and discomforting, nevertheless essential and rewarding for our soul. The back side of the painting becomes an artwork on its own, as important as the front. This canvas is an all-round manifestation of growth.
