My paintings do not usually stand out for the color black. But this type of work is born punctually, whenever pain stirs in my mind, in my life, in my heart. Other expressions that I work on in my style are body draw, gestural. I paint with a single color and my hands, this allows me to throw all my anger or sadness onto the canvas. This painting is the reflection of a lot of sadness for my father with cancer. It's hard to read these words. But my creations are precisely about this, they tell stories, realities in which other eyes can see themselves reflected in another way. My respects and strength to the people who had or have to go through grief.

Self-taught contemporary abstract artist for over 15 years, she lives and works in Gijón (Asturias) in her own art studio, where she receives visits by appointment from clients. She began painting in search of self-expression. The artist herself mainly uses a mixed technique. Her different series define who she is. With a palette and a method that is constantly evolving. Oliva enjoys experimenting and challenging new forms of expression through technique, each piece reflects a personal subjective and emotional moment due to emotions or connection in her past or present memories, expressing it in an abstract way. Color and the ascending stroke loaded with pigment are her way of recognizing her paintings. Mainly the base of her paintings is on natural cotton canvas, designed to obtain a first visual connection, thus giving the viewer a feeling of purity.
