Painting: Acrylic on Other.
Based on a true anecdote. The shirt I have Ornette wearing is what I remember him wearing - kind of an African-derived patchwork pattern including a lot of orange. I wanted to go up and gush about his music but I (once again) restrained myself. The thing about being a jazz fan is that no one else seemed to have any idea that they were waiting around with a true legend and innovator and creative force. He was just a guy in an African-derived patchwork pattern with a lot of orange.
I really liked to paint on foamcore at one time. Paint really sticks to it in a unique way. It's been protected by shellac since it dried.
