ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a another unique seafoam green painting from my latest "Fumage" series. Using a technique that involves fire, the canvas is charred while the masked areas are kept pure, creating overlapping depth of value. The composition is filled with a series of arcane symbols of "X" and "I" referencing a make-shift Roman numeral system.
