Inspired by mental health & illness to help continue the conversation. This 30" x 40" acrylic abstract painting on canvas was inspired by visiting a family member in the hospital after not seeing them for many years. They've been battling cancer for a while and have come out the other end stronger each time, no matter how hard the disease is trying to pull them away. Having the support from family & friends helps the fight. The title "ICU" means two things, "Intensive Care Unit" & "I See You". Style inspired by the abstract expressionism and colour blocking movement, like artist Clyfford Still. - Unframed - Includes attached wire on the back of canvas for hanging - Gallery Wrapped Traditional Canvas

Pandora Owl was born and raised outside of Toronto, Ontario. Started her journey, building a career in advertising until she decided to make a leap into following her art passion. Her art focuses on mental health & illness in order to help comfort those who suffer from it as well as exposing it to those who don’t. She leverages mixed media in order to tell her stories, often referencing her youth by incorporating items such as comics and or toys; a style she developed in her art class back in high school. Her textured mixed media art has many layers that can be seen and felt but most importantly ignite and continue the conversation of mental health as it’s increasingly making its way to the forefront.
