About the Artist

Brenda Rodriguez

Germany

Brenda Rodríguez is a Peruvian-born abstract painter based in Germany, with formative years spent living and working in New York City. Her work explores cultural identity, motherhood, belonging, and emotional memory through layered abstract landscapes developed through an intuitive, process-driven approach.
Shaped by movement across cultures, relationships, and personal experience, her paintings reflect the tension of feeling connected to many places while fully belonging to none. Working primarily with oils and acrylics on canvas and paper, she builds layered, textured surfaces using brushes, palette knives, diluted washes, and spontaneous marks.
Painting is her most immediate form of communication—a space where emotions, thoughts, and memories can surface beyond language, inviting viewers to connect with their own inner landscapes.
