About The Artwork

More Americans have died from guns in the US since 1968 than on battlefields of all the wars in American history. This 1m x 1.5m artwork attempts to suggest that guns are as engrained into the culture as the flag itself. The piece has paper mache gun ads fixed to the canvas with the pseudo US blood stained flag painted over. When this piece was recently shown it was encased in a distressed frame to look like a relic.
