There are some individuals who are survivors. Throw one catastrophe after another at them, and still they persist.
I responded to my recent Melanoma challenge by creating several works for a solo exhibition titled Aftermath: In The Pink. These circular panels of paint and fabric use white and pink as a reflection of the innocence and helplessness I felt while going through something of this magnitude, the subsequent rebirth as I overcame this major life-changing experience, and the hope that is inherent to being human as I go forward and continue to heal. They are lovely in person; painted flowers on round canvas are accentuated with embroidery and painted, dyed tulle, and highlighted by graphic black and white collage. Really unique. Hang one, or buy them all and hang horizontally, or vertically! Hangs by a single nail. NOTE: THIS LISTING IS FOR PANEL ONE ONLY.
