This piece is inspired by nature and the aboriginal artworks from Australia taking cues of the often vivid color palettes as well as the mark making that is used. Although not like my typical collage painting, this piece does contain layers of color, paint and expressive and repetitive marks representing the physical labor of my hand in each and every brush stroke.
