About The Artwork

A woman standing next to her bicycle and gazing off into the distance. It perfectly captures her free-spirited nature and adventurous personality. Her windswept hair and relaxed posture suggest a sense of freedom and contentment as she contemplates what lies ahead on her bike rides through unknown. In that moment, it felt like time stood still, as if all worries melted away in the presence of such serenity. This is an colourful acrylic painting made on a collage of English language newspaper articles placed together to create a truly unique background. Part of the artistic process involves browsing through journal in search for articles that would suit the finished piece. Each collage is one of a kind as miscellaneous articles coming from different newspapers serve as background. The piece is ready for framing - in line with collector’s preferences.

I am a Polish-born artist who currently resides in San Martiño de Meis, Pontevedra, Spain. My passion for images and the way in which the world is perceived by others has been a driving force throughout my life. As a teenager, I began to create my own interpretations of the world around me through drawing. While my work varies in nature, paper is almost always my canvas of choice. I create unique backgrounds by collaging newspaper articles together, which I then use as a foundation for my ink or acrylic drawings and paintings. The process of selecting the articles is an integral part of my artistic process, as I search for pieces that will complement the finished work. My inspiration comes from a variety of sources, but I find black and white photographs to be particularly powerful. I believe that every piece of art should tell a story or be a part of one. Through my work, I strive to convey my own interpretation of the world and the stories that it holds.
