ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting comes from a series where I was investigating combining very loose expressive marks with more restrained neater elements. I kept the palette minimal, just the blue and black on the off-white background as simplicity and reduction are key elects of the series. I didn't want to take away from the exuberance of the blue loops that can not be contained on just one canvas. The title refers to the address of the apple head quarters and is significant because this series of paintings aim to explore aspects of mans relationship with technology, particularly the frustrations of living with a human body in an increasingly digital world.
