ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When Lauren was young, she had a very vivid imagination that always translated into very surreal dream time. She had a dream once that she could travel to the "dark side of the moon" and could get there by putting on this bright and fuzzy, purple "moon boots". She climbed around and saw the fabled structures on the dark side of the moon, and had a personal guide who would help beam her and make sure she never took off the boots, otherwise she'd float off into space. Although Lauren's imagination and dreams haven't subdued in the slightest, her she now funnels this childlike imagination into her art as an adult. Interstellar Mixed Media 30" x 40"
