Marble impresses me. I love the composition of different colors and layers as well as the gentle movement in the material. I chose this as the inspiration for the work "Into the Flow". Adriane Dworzak from Oldenburg (Germany) works at the intersection of intuition, perception, and space. Her artistic development has led her toward an increasingly free, process-oriented style of painting. Inner states become visible. At the heart of her current practice are these groups of works: “Inbetween” explores the tensions between structure and dissolution, balance and movement. Through a process of searching, layering, and reduction, pictorial spaces emerge in which opposites are allowed to coexist. “Unfolding” shifts the focus toward letting go, memory, and subtle movement. Forms and color spaces unfold without a predetermined motif, developing during the painting process and remaining deliberately open. Works emerge from a state of observation and breathing—as visual spaces between presence and disappearance. Currently, her work is moving further toward density and presence: away from decorative motifs, toward pictorial states that occupy space and exert an impact without volume.
