Iryna Kitaieva is a Zurich-based abstract artist known for her emotionally rich and textured works. Her artistic journey began in 2003 at the Odessa Art College Grekov, followed by architectural studies at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture in 2009. Upon graduation, she actively participated in exhibitions across Ukraine and internationally, including in Odessa, Kyiv, Berlin, and St. Petersburg. Her style blends influences from abstract expressionism and figurative art, brought to life through an original mixed media technique. Iryna applies undiluted paint directly onto canvas or panel using a palette knife, creating highly textured, three-dimensional compositions. She mixes colors directly on the canvas, enhancing the visual depth and vibrancy of each piece. With her interior design background, Iryna transforms recycled canvas into minimalist, nature-inspired art. Inspired deeply by nature, her complex, layered paintings are a reflection of inner emotion and thought, materialized through expressive forms. Her work is held in private collections across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States—including France, Germany, Greece, the UAE, the UK, and beyond. Iryna works directly with clients and interior designers on residential, commercial, and hotel projects. She has completed notable commissions for Clivedale in Mayfair, London; Karo & Co Interiors in the UK; and Christopher Marcum Design in Tucson, Arizona. Iryna continuously develops her practice by engaging with the global art community, regularly attending international fairs such as Art Basel and the Swiss Art Expo in Zurich, where she draws inspiration, stays current with market trends, and expands her professional network.
