My series of architectural paintings. The Irwin House is a mid-century Modern house, designed by Victor Christ-Janer and constructed by builder Robert Roles as a speculative house in 1953. Mid-century modern architecture is my inspiration for this series of paintings.

Maya Lantsova is a professional contemporary abstract artist whose work explores the resonance of color, texture, and atmosphere. Raised on the Black Sea coast, she developed an early sensitivity to vivid hues and natural rhythm. Trained in classical painting in St. Petersburg and fashion design in Moscow, Maya blends tradition with modernist theory, Bauhaus color studies, and design geometry. Her practice spans painting and textile experimentation, creating works that balance structure with spontaneity. Now based in the United States, she draws inspiration from post-war abstraction, producing paintings designed to transform contemporary interiors with light, depth, and presence. Member of Surface Design Association. Member of DuPage Art League. Member of Evanston Made. Member of Elmhurst Artist’s Guild.
