ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Jewish fairytale.. beautiful ladies in traditional wedding dresses, Jewish brides of Yemen, Morocco and Israel inspired me for drawing this painting. Traditions and modernity, the Art Noire technique, Art Deco throughout the prism of my consciousness and awareness of my roots. I’m also Jewish and that is why I portrayed myself, holding the peacock as the symbol of the beauty of Israel.

Born to a jewish family of doctors in the USSR, Anna has moved to Europe in late 90s. She quickly gained recognition for her talent and shared her work with the public through several exhibitions across Russia and Europe. Today her paintings and portraits remain in private collections all over the world including those of of the Rotschild, Rockfeller and Trump families. She currently resides and works from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus.
