I was born in Athens, where I live and work as an artist. In my paintings, I combine abstract expressionism with depictions of human figures, animals, insects, and plants, presented in both an expressionistic and a naturalistic style. Through abstract expressionism, I symbolize the forces that govern the natural forms of life, including us as humans—forces that are neither seen nor heard. For me, abstract expressionism also embodies sounds and music. "Perhaps my Mediterranean origin makes me particularly drawn to people and human activities, which is why they often play a dominant role in my paintings."
