A colorful painting of a mesmerizing dancing Crane, such gorgeous creatures... Last time I visited Kenya in November 2021 I stayed with friends at the foot of Mount Elgon and they organized a barbeque at a small lake on their farm. While we were having a small barbeque party two Crane came and did their dance right in front of us, it was so beautiful to see them dance and fly away again with the sun going under be As you may know I have a deep love for African wildlife. Having witnessed them several times in their natural habitat during my travels to Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania has been a real life changer for me. This experience left me in awe and filled with gratitude, there really is nothing like it. Based on those feelings I have decided to do a new series of wildlife called 'Stay Wild' with the intention of creating more awareness for wildlife preservation. Through my art, I want to spread a feeling of hope and positivity, to do good for our beautiful wild animals so they can truly stay wild and live in their natural surroundings. 20% Of the proceedings of every painting in these series will be donated to Wildlife Trusts for the preservation of Kenyan wildlife, there is still so much good we can do to save the wildhind them.

BIO Growing up in the metropolis and governmental city The Hague in the Netherlands as well as a career in aviation are clear and strong influences on the work of international selling artist Bianca Lever. She discovered her passion for art later in life, as if all those experiences were looking for a creative way out. Thus leading to getting an art degree and pursuing a career in Art. The abstract realistic work of Bianca Lever is expressive and outspoken. Her realistic figures, people and animals, are painted on pop- and streetart style backgrounds. Her mixed media process in which different techniques and styles are combined is both thought through as well as intuitive and exploring, always pushing the envelope. Her motto “Be curious, explore and experience” shows in her work. There is a lot of juxtaposition, contrast and visible layering. Always ending with multiple layers of oil to make the colours even more intense and to create more depth by using cold and warm pigments. Bianca still travels a lot and lives and works in the middle of artistic and inspiring Italy where she paints from her studio with a beautiful view of the Appenines. ARTIST STATEMENT: I create art the same way I create my life; curious, positive and exploring all possibillities while having some fun in the process. Using mixed media, creating juxtapositions and lots of contrasts because that causes excitement. My paintings are outspoken and expressive, because I believe in freedom of speech and I talk through my paintings. I paint realistic figures, people and animals, always trying to capture their true essense. The backgrounds are done in pop- or streetart style, playful and spontaneous. Always finishing in oils, creating an endresult that is visibly layered and filled with emotions. "Be curious, explore and experience…"
