ABOUT THE ARTWORK
On my way back home from junior high school, I remember a strange yellow sky had full of summer showers. I started reading books in the crepuscular. While smelling rice cooking in the small kitchen. The letters swayed in the dark and I began to board the boat with Rimbaud, Kafka and Nietzsche. Train sound passed by through the window. The sound of cars hitting the rain. The text was wrapped around it. I wrote poems and paintings. I loved it. Things like that spicy raw emotions. Things that disappear like air. But I breathed it. I felt it pouring into my blood, I could embrace myself from sad reality. Those times… I do not regret. The times I loved. I paint that raw emotions. It’s fine arts.

Su-Ok was born in Kwangju, South Korea and currently lives in Georgia, United States. She has received a Master degree in Graduate School of Fine Arts from Chonnam National University in South Korea in 2004. She also studied at Graduate School of Horticulture and Life Science for Ph. D Program in 2005. She had lectured several classes in Fine Arts, Theory of Aesthetics in regards to Philosophy in Fine Arts at Seoyeong University (previously known as “Sogang”), Dongshin University and Ewha university in South Korea until 2007. For her career as an Artist, she participated in both solo and group exhibition in Korea. She also has great passion in other forms of Arts. Loves music and held concerts as an alternative Indi-rock band singer song writer. Her art is deeply related to the music. In addition, she’s interested in Oriental Medicine. Her artworks are mainly about nature, humanity, healing and music. Her artistic influencers are artists like; G-DRAGON, LEE JUNG SEOP, Banksy, Bjork, Bonobo, Mew, Kendrick Lama, Yoko Ono, Stanley Donwood, Radiohead.
