About The Artwork

As Malik Shabaz (MalcolmX) put it, "When the fight is right and it's done with a sharp mind, there's no need to be armed." Acts as much as speeches become a powerful fighting art. In the continuity of my concept around the theme of contractions of words around the theme ART, I created this triptych to pay tribute to 3 great black men: Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and Mohamed Ali. With their words, their ideas and their commitment, they have shaken mountains of certainty. These black men born all 3 poor and uneducated in a white and racist world that would consider non-whites as sub-men. These 3 men invented an art that I call FIGHT ART. Without ever giving in to cowardice, ease or compromise. The many press articles of the time, that I have used as a background for the paintings, testify that our 3 FIGHTERS have led their fights with great skill ... These courageous and idealistic men have become icons of a world in search of ideal and justice. Today, they continue to inspire millions of people around the world.
