Hi! I'm a British artist based in Cambridge I take my inspiration from my travels. I work in watercolors, acrylic, ceramic sculpture and love drawing. Often I abstract and reduce a landscape expressing the energy and atmosphere through gestural brush marks. I enjoy travel and paint 'en plein air' often walking and finding peace in nature. I am inspired by East Asian art works, often I use gold leaf, Japanese paints and papers, working with Japanese brushes. When I'm not working in my studio I teach art and meditation and yoga, I am part of the Zen Buddhist Sangha. My family are based in the beautiful South West of England by the coast and in South West France - again by the sea! I love being by the coast whenever I can.
