ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is from my Skulls & Skeletons series, my little people influenced by Basquiat-style and Dia de los Muertos. My visual commentaries on the irony of societal norms and the struggles of life. When I was employed as a paralegal, I worked on the Canadian Indian Residential School cases, a horrific litany of sexual and physical abuse endured by the children of our First Nations people endorsed by the federal government and inflicted by the Catholic Church.
