About The Artwork
Katholische Hofkirche (Church of the Royal Court), Dresden. Germany. I am fascinated and inspired by the heritage architecture of the world, as I worked as an architect for many years. I being an experienced photographer for more than 40 years, travel only for photography, and always wait for a good angle of light to achieve appropriate contrast, which helps in my paintings. However, this photograph was taken from Unsplash.com, which I found suitable for my painting as the composition, shape of the cathedral, etc. were appropriate for my taste. I use world-class materials, such as Baohong make, rough cotton paper, and Schmincke Horadam professional watercolors for quality as well as long life. Watercolor is spontaneous and unpredictable, therefore this medium challenges the painter to achieve and excel, through his knowledge and experience in handling the medium. Hope the viewers would experience the atmosphere in the artwork and appreciate the style.

Born in 1953 at Bombay now called Mumbai, India. Artist, Photographer and Designer. Deeply involved in creative arts since childhood. Voracious reader on creative fields such as art, calligraphy, photography, architecture etc., for the last five decades and have a huge collection of art books and material by great artists of the world. Interested in capturing architecture, heritage sites, landscapes in photography as well as in painting. Presently painting watercolours of landscapes, heritage monuments and architecture. The essence of my skillset is to regularly and consistently practise on day to day basis without any break. My knowledge and experience acquired are based on the techniques assimilated through classes from well known artists from around the world, from time to time. This is consistent throught my life. Teaching architectural photography to students at Mysore University as visiting faculty.
